Deep River Chips

Challenge:
Deep River Chips was looking for an evolutionary packaging optimization to be able to standout in the ever-growing natural set in grocery. They wanted to do this while not alienating their current consumers who were familiar with the current packaging.

Solution:
My design featured an overhead shot of the delicious chips propped with ingredients so consumers could easily identify and differentiate the flavors.  The design incorporated the same colors and signature rays that shoppers associated with the brand. It was selected by Deep River to solve the problem, allowing me to see the project through from concept to production.

Inspiration

The overhead shot of potato chip in a bowl acted as a “bulls-eye” at shelf, immediately drawing the shoppers’ eye to the delicious product and enticing them to give it a try.

BONUS

One of the original concepts I originally created for the redesign, a bag inspired by a burlap potato sack, was recycled by the client and used for their line of chips at TJMax. Yum!
